Caustic and Chemicals Limited has reported good results for
the third quarter ended 31 December 2007. Net sales at Rs
48.10 crore are up 21 per cent vis a vis Rs 39.70 crore attained
in the same quarter last year.

at Rs 16.45 crore, soared by 71 per cent as against Rs 9.57
crore for the corresponding period last year.
Bihar
Caustics growth rate at 25 per cent is nearly double
that of the market which grew at 13 per cent.
The
results are a reflection of the companys ongoing focus
on cost optimisation processes and increasing manpower productivity.
The revamping of the power plant which recorded a plant load
factor of 102 per cent also contributed towards the enhanced
performance numbers, says Mr. K.K. Maheshwari, Aditya
Birla Groups Director responsible for the Groups
chemical and trading business.
Bihar
Caustic has won the distinction of being named as the winner
of the IMCs Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award
first prize in the manufacturing sector, 2007. The
award is to be conferred in March 2008 at the IMC function.
