The
Indo Phil Group of companies
Indo Phil is the first Indian-Filipino joint venture
spinning plant in the Philippines, commencing
operations in 1975 with an
initial capacity of 15,500 spindles. Over the
years, the capacity has increased to 91,844 spindles,
making it the largest yarn
manufacturer in the Philippines.
Indo Phil comprises three companies engaged in
the manufacture of high quality spun yarn, along
with a 24.8 MW captive power plant, meeting 100%
of their power requirements. All the following
three companies are located in
Barangay Lambakin, Marilao, Bulacan:
Quality parameters of all the products
are within 5 per cent uster level and thus enjoy
leadership position in the local market and highly
competitive global markets of America, Europe,
and Asian countries, with over 40 per cent of
the products being
directly exported.
Indo Phil was the first group of
textile mills in South Asia to be awarded the
ISO 9002 certification in 1993 and later the ISO
14001 for Environment, OHSAS 18001 Health &
Safety as well as the SA-8000 Social Accountability
certifications. The International Labour Organisation
(ILO) and Employers' Confederation of the Philippines
(ECOP) have recognised Indo Phil as a Child Friendly
organisation and Indo Phil is a
member of the UN Global Compact. Its recent awards
and accolades include the Best Employer of Bulacan
Award 2006, Outstanding Employee of the Republic
(National Tower Award) 2006, the President Ramon
Magsaysay Outstanding
Filipino Worker Award 2005 (Regional and Provincial),
and the National Product Quality Excellence Award
- Best Textile Yarn Manufacturers' National Award
2005.
The Indo Phil Group has been a consistent
winner of quality awards, viz., the Grand Kapatid
Award given by COP and also the Philippine Quality
Award for Commitment to Quality, among a host
of other accolades.
Indo
Phil Acrylic Manufacturing Corporation
Incorporated in 1989, Indo Phil Acrylic Manufacturing
Corporation (IPAMC) manufactures high bulk acrylic
dyed yarn and non-bulk acrylic dyed yarn.
With an installed capacity of 3,700 mt per annum
IPAMC is a market leader commanding 70 per cent
of the acrylic market in the Philippines. Indo
Phil Acrylic's high bulk yarn is used in making
sweaters, cardigans, socks and stuffed toys. The
non-bulk yarn is used mainly for fabrics such
as T-shirts and blouses.
The company exports to countries including USA,
UK, Canada, South Africa, Malaysia, Mexico and
Taiwan. Its product range comprises Regular
high bulk dyed, non-bulk dyed acrylic yarns, Special
yarns acrylic wool blends; cotton like
acrylic;super soft acrylic; heather yarns, anti-pill
yarns, micro denier acrylic, BOA and so on.
