PT Elegant Textiles marked the Group's foray into Indonesia in 1973. Today, PT Elegant is the largest producer of rayon spun yarn in the world, contributing 10 per cent to the global rayon spun yarn trade. With 25 per cent market share, it is also the largest exporter of rayon and rayon-polyester spun yarn from Indonesia with an annual sales turnover of Rs. 450 crore.

From an initial capacity of 14,960 spindles, the capacity has increased to to1,68,088 spindles, with 75 per cent of its products exported to quality conscious customers in the USA, Turkey, Korea, Japan, Italy, Greece, Spain, Brazil, Argentina and few others in Europe and the Asia Pacific region.

Perceived as a quality leader, PT. Elegant's products command a premium in the marketplace. Almost 50 per cent of the production caters to niche segments where it is put to sensitive use, producing high quality fabrics, which are used in medical applications, car seat covers, upholstery, fancy yarn production and various other applications.
