Corporate World Class Manufacturing (CWCM) works actively with the Aditya Birla Group’s manufacturing and service businesses for building excellence in all business processes. CWCM promotes and supports the Group businesses
in institutionalisation of WCM Excellence Framework Criteria, which incorporates best practices from renowned international business excellence / quality models such as MBNQA, EFQM and Deming Prize.

A team of specialists from various disciplines such TPM, TQM, Lean, Six Sigma, value engineering and business excellence are a part of the CWCM team that supports businesses in identification of improvement of opportunities and execution of high-impact projects to achieve sustainable competitive advantage through on-site and offsite facilitation, assessments and audits.

CWCM works closely with the Group businesses in building a culture of team work, continuous improvement and behavioural transformation. It builds capabilities in businesses to sustain excellence building processes by imparting skills and competencies through various improvement initiatives and self assessment.

The function builds an external network of professionals / institutions from across the globe for seeking contemporary best practices and provides internal platforms for sharing and learning. CWCM also designs, develops and manages the Chairman’s WCM Awards to recognise businesses for their progress in the excellence journey and Group-wide team competitions to encourage team working.
